Trends come and go, and for the summer we saw hair at the salon stay pretty, long, summery and sexy…then BAM the first hint of fall, everything went into overdrive starting with VOGUE WORLD at Paramount Studios where Baz Lehrman pulled out all the stops and we saw all our fav Hollywood sirens reappear in the re-creation of our favorite leading ladies and men in some the most iconic roles such as Julia Garner as Marie Antoinette, Kendall Jenner as Satine (Moulin Rouge) and Betsey Gaghan as Diane Keaton, our very own Annie Hall.
Simultaneously at the Salon, we saw a huge shift in trends, so many clients chopped their hair into variations of the LOBBOB (think Carrie Coon White Lotus) Marion Cotillard the unflappable president of UBN in The Morning Show, Jenna Ortega from the hit sensation Wednesday and Sydney Sweeney the hottest femme fatale right now ….off came the long waves and out walked our clients with a decidedly French feeling.
Color wise it’s so very shades of copper and red this season, with most famously a ROIL Salon client Hayden Panettiere being the most recent transformation, her new look created by ROIL Colorist Erick Orellana and her extensions by ROIL Specialist Julia Knudsen. She launched her new book Scream and Break Free and her new movie A Breed Apart with a whole new look.
Bleach and Tones are massively popular right now but more so a wave of soft browns, tawny golden browns, chocolate tones and maple bronze are swishing out of our famous storefront.
